Cain

The first son of Adam and Eve—the first child to be born on earth. He was a farmer who brought an offering of vegetables to God. God was not pleased with Cain’s offering. The Bible does not explain why. God warned Cain to get control over his temper, but Cain didn’t listen. After killing his brother, Abel, Cain was punished by having to leave his parents and become a wanderer, always in fear of being killed. God promised him protection from his enemies. Cain went to a country east of Eden where he married and had a son, Enoch.
