Capernaum

A large town on the northwest shore of the Sea of Galilee. Jesus made this town His headquarters during His work in Galilee. He performed many miracles at Capernaum, including the healing of a centurion’s servant. Many of His important teachings were spoken there. Because the people did not respond, Jesus predicted the city would be destroyed. His prediction was so completely fulfilled that today no one is sure where the town was.
