Ish-bosheth

The fourth son of Saul. He was king over Israel for two years after Saul and Saul’s three older sons died in battle. He was proclaimed king by Abner, the captain of Saul’s army. But the tribe of Judah had made David king. Ish-bosheth fought against David for two years until Abner turned his loyalty to David. Later, Ish-bosheth was murdered by his own captains.
