Joshua, book of

The book of Joshua tells the stories of the battles Israel fought in Canaan and how the land was divided up among the various tribes. The book begins with Joshua taking over after Moses’s death and ends with the death of Joshua. The first twelve chapters tell about the conquest of Canaan. Chapters 13–22 describe the division of Canaan. Chapters 22–24 tell how Joshua called all the leaders of Israel together and reminded them of all that God had done for them.
