Nazareth

The town in Galilee (between the Sea of Galilee and the Mediterranean Sea) where Jesus grew up. Nazareth had a bad reputation. This is why Nathanael, who became one of Jesus’s disciples, questioned how anything good could come from there. Early in His ministry, Jesus preached in the synagogue in Nazareth, but the people became so angry with Him that they wanted to kill Him. Today Nazareth is a large city, and most of the people who live there are Arabs.
