Even as a young boy, Jesus surprised people with His knowledge of the Scriptures. They didn’t know yet that He was God, but that didn’t stop Him from discussing hard Scriptures with the teachers in the temple. We can follow Jesus’ example by studying God’s Word and bringing our hard questions to our pastors and teachers—no matter how young or old we are!
“Why were you searching for me?” [Jesus] asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?”
What is one big question you have about the Bible?
Try to find a pastor or Sunday school teacher and ask them to teach you something new about the Bible. Don’t be afraid to ask them your big questions!
Jesus, You gave us such a great example to follow in so many ways. Please help me to study the Scriptures the way You did. Amen.
