Back

Thought

It did not take the people all that long to forget about Moses and to ignore the special relationship he had with God. Instead of trusting Moses to come back and trusting God to take care of them, the people wanted an idol to worship—something they could see and touch. But God challenges us to be faithful even when we can’t see exactly what’s going on. And He gives us an example of faithfulness in His mercy and grace toward us.

Word

Exodus 32:14 NIV

Then the LORD relented and did not bring on his people the disaster he had threatened.

Question

What if you could see God?

Have you ever wished you could see and touch God? How do you think your relationship with God would be different if you could see Him?

Challenge

Make a list of all the things you know to be real even though you can’t see them right now. For example: love, the other side of the world, germs, etc. Ask friends and family to add to the list.

Prayer

God, forgive me for getting distracted by things when I should be focused on being faithful to You. Amen.
