When Jesus went into a region that was occupied primarily by people who were not Jewish, a woman came and begged for His help for her daughter. At first, it seemed like Jesus wasn’t going to help her, but the woman was persistent and showed her faith. She knew that Jesus could help more than just the people of Israel. Because of her love for her daughter, she didn’t give up on asking Jesus to grant her request. Love can move people to do hard things.
Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment.
