King Ahab called Elijah a troublemaker. Want to know who else stirred up trouble wherever they went? The apostle Paul! And even Jesus! (Acts 17:1–6; Luke 23:5). Be ready when you boldly trust in God because a miracle may be just around the corner!
[Jesus said,] “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”
Read 1 Kings 18:27. Was Elijah being serious or joking?
We can be thankful that God does not make us perform tests to show how much we trust Him. But we can practice our trust by reading His Word every day and praying to Him.
Dear Lord, when Elijah trusted in you, things changed in a great way. Help me to have that kind of trust in you. Help me to expect miracles. Amen.
