As Jesus came to Jericho, a blind man heard that Jesus was on His way. This man had heard of Jesus’ miracles, and he knew that Jesus could heal him. So he cried out to get Jesus’ attention, and even though people tried to shush him, he cried out even more. Jesus came to him and healed him so he could see. Even though we haven’t seen Jesus’ miracles, we can believe and have faith that He can do them in our lives too.
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Imagine watching Bartimaeus ask Jesus to be healed, then seeing Jesus say, “Go! Your faith has healed you.” What would your reaction be to seeing him healed? What is the first thing you would do if you were Bartimaeus?
We are invited to ask God for what we need and to have faith that He will hear us. God wants us to come to Him for what we need. What can you boldly ask God to help you with? Write out that request on a piece of paper and post it on your wall. Pray each day for God to help you.
God, thank You that we can believe in You and Your ability to do miracles in our lives. Help my faith to grow. Amen.
