This is the written account of Adam’s family line. When God created mankind, he made them in the likeness of God. He created them male and female and blessed them. And he named them “Mankind” when they were created.

There are a couple important things going on in this question. One is the meaning of God creating humans in His image. That’s a topic many scholars have debated. But from what the Bible shows us, what we can safely say is that God created humans with some characteristics of God, but not all. That is, God did not create little God clones. Humans are a separate thing. We are not God. Thus, we are not perfectly good. However, God did create a good world and He created good humans to live in it. The Garden of Eden presents us with a picture of a world that is in complete harmony with God. But because God created humans to have the ability, like Him, to choose, and because Adam and Eve chose to disobey God, sin entered the world. It’s important to remember that God is able to handle all of your biggest questions. You can always feel safe talking to God about your thoughts, and you can know that He will be with you to love and guide you.

You may think that you don’t have much to give as an offering to God, but we can each give God our best. If we have money or extra possessions, we can donate to our church family or to people in our community who are doing God’s work of helping those in need. If we have time, we can give by volunteering to serve at church or in our neighborhood. And if we have skills or talents, we can offer our abilities to be used by God for His work in all kinds of ways. What can you offer to God this week to thank Him for all He’s done for you?
