When Paul and Silas made some powerful people in Philippi angry, the people threw them in jail. But Paul and Silas weren’t worried. Instead of sitting in fear, they sang praises to God, because their hope was in Him. God caused a great earthquake that broke the chains of the prisoners and released them from their shackles. They were even able to tell the jailer about Jesus! Our hope today is still in the God who has the power to deliver us from danger.
