A riot broke out in Ephesus. Paul had been preaching about Jesus and drawing people away from worshipping the false goddess Artemis, so they weren’t buying her statues. The craftsmen were not happy about this, and they started a riot. After the riot broke up, Paul left the city to go to Macedonia and Greece, where he stayed for three months serving the people. Even though not everyone accepted his message, Paul served everyone, and we can too.
However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.
