Paul had been an important Pharisee and notorious persecutor of the followers of Jesus, but then he changed. He believed in Jesus and began teaching others about Him. Well, guess what—many Jewish people at the time didn’t like that at all, since they didn’t believe Jesus was the Messiah. In fact, they were so angry that they plotted to kill Paul! But Paul didn’t let fear keep him from telling others about Jesus. And it doesn’t have to stop us either.

2 Corinthians 12:10 NIV

That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Challenge

Find a laundry basket and climb in. Throw a blanket over your head and try to imagine how Paul must have felt when he was escaping.
