God brings new life to dead things. It’s His brand. The Jews would be stuck in Babylon for 70 years. God told them they had to build new lives, including new homes, new jobs, and new families. God wanted their hard hearts to be made new too. A hope for a fresh start is offered to anyone willing to make God the most important thing in their lives.
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
Have you ever seen something old become new again? What had to happen to make it new?
There are 206 bones in the adult human body. But a baby’s body starts out with more bones than that. Ask a parent to help you find out how many bones are in a human skeleton at the time of birth.
Dear God, give me a new heart—one that loves You more each day. Amen.
