Thought

Isaiah wrote about someone who would suffer—not because He had done wrong, but because we had. He would take on our pain, be punished for our sins, and offer healing through His suffering. Though people would reject Him, God would lift Him up. Jesus fulfilled every word of this prophecy. He gave up His comfort for our peace.

Word

“But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.”
—Isaiah 53:5 (NIV)

Question

Have you ever seen someone take the blame for something they didn’t do? How did it make you feel?

Challenge

Create a visual reminder of Isaiah 53: draw a heart, and inside it, write or draw things Jesus suffered for—like sadness, sickness, sin, or loneliness. Then around the heart, write or draw the gifts He gave in exchange—like peace, forgiveness, healing, and joy. Keep it somewhere to remind you what His sacrifice means for you.

Prayer

Jesus, thank You for loving me so much that You took my place. Thank You for healing my heart through Your sacrifice. Help me to never forget what You’ve done. Amen.
