Leprosy is a contagious skin infection caused by bacteria. In severe cases, it can cause nerve damage and deformities if it’s not treated in time. The word used here in the Bible could refer to any number of similar skin conditions that would make a person “unclean” according to their laws. An unclean person would have to be confined and not allowed to serve with the people. Given this knowledge, and the fact that Aaron was a priest of God, why do you think Aaron wasn’t afflicted in the same way as Miriam, even though he was guilty of the same sin?
