Solomon didn’t keep God’s gift of wisdom to himself, he shared it with others by writing books. One is named Proverbs. He wanted everyone to understand the ways of God. Wise people enjoy sharing God’s truth.

Proverbs 2:6 NIV
For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
Question
Besides God’s Word, where do you go when you want to learn wisdom?
Who are the people in your life who say wise things? Whom do you trust?
Challenge
The verses in Proverbs are short. However, the wisdom books in the Bible are not to be read through quickly. The words in each proverb are written to make you stop and think about what God is trying to tell you about Himself and about the ways you are to live. Write out one of the proverbs shown in The Action Bible. Take your time and give that verse some thought, then draw an illustration or symbols that represent the proverb’s meaning.

Thank You, God, for giving us the Bible so we can read it and learn to be wise. Amen.
