The spies said they seemed like grasshoppers compared to the giant men. Let’s say that most grasshoppers are about 2 inches long. If the average Middle Eastern man was 68 inches tall, how big would the giant men be to make the average spy seem like a grasshopper?
(Hint: the average man in this scenario is 34 times the size of the average grasshopper.)
Challenge
Joshua and Caleb encouraged each other, and then they tried to encourage a whole nation! Think about someone you know who is facing a big challenge. What could you do to encourage them? Sometimes just showing up and being with someone during a hard time can be the best thing to do. But you can also start by praying for them! Ask God to let them know they are not alone and to give them strength.
