The apostle John was exiled to an island called Patmos. While he was there, God gave him a vision of what the end times would look like. Even though there will be a lot of death and destruction, God will still be in control. In fact, at the end of the death and destruction, Jesus will come back and rule the earth forever! Even if things seem hard and scary now, we can always hold on to the hope that Jesus will return.

Jesus gives hints at what will happen when He returns to earth: He will cleanse the earth, and the wicked things will be destroyed. He will judge His people, and He will establish His kingdom on earth. Those who believe can have hope for Jesus’ return!
Read Revelation chapter 22 in the Bible, and draw a picture of the imagery described. What do you think heaven will be like? How does this give you hope?
