Thought

The stories of the Old Testament tell about the relationship between God and His people, our sins that broke that relationship, and God’s continual efforts to bring people back to Himself. The stories of the New Testament then present God’s solution to the problem of our broken relationship in the person of Jesus Christ—His life, death, and resurrection—and the continuing impact He has on our world.

Word

John 1:1–3

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
