Thought

Refugees, homeless wanderers, friends, and family all came to serve David, even though he was living as an exile. They saw in him a person who was dedicated to serving God. Even when David had the chance to kill his attacker—to assassinate the out-of-control King Saul—he refused. He would not set himself up in the place of God, but instead bowed down before the king and vowed not to hurt him. That is the mark of a true leader and a true servant of God!
