A young man named Stephen was preaching about Jesus, and he had great wisdom and understanding. The Jewish leaders didn’t like what he was saying, so they got people to falsely accuse Stephen. Then he told the leaders the whole story of the Israelites, from the time of Abraham until Jesus was crucified. He boldly shared his hope in Jesus, even though he knew the people wanted to kill him, and he asked God to forgive his listeners. Stephen is an example for us today of courage in the face of opposition.
