Absalom

The third son of King David, Absalom was known for his long beautiful hair. After he murdered his older brother, Amnon, he ran away from his father’s anger and stayed away for three years. Finally he returned, and David forgave him. However, in a few years, Absalom decided to take the kingdom away his father. In a terrible battle between Absalom’s men and those of King David, Absalom’s hair was caught in the branches of a tree. The mule ran off and left Absalom hanging there. Some of David’s men found him and killed him, even though David had forbidden them to hurt Absalom.
