Ascension

Jesus’s return to heaven after His resurrection. The ascension happened on the Mount of Olives. Eleven disciples were with Jesus. When He was taken up into a cloud before their eyes, this was a sign that they would not see Him on earth anymore. After Jesus left, two angels appeared to the disciples and told them that Jesus would someday return. Jesus’s return is known as the second coming.
