Bronze Snake

When the people of Israel grumbled against God and Moses, God allowed poisonous snakes to bite the people. When people admitted they were wrong, God told Moses to make a snake out of bronze and place it on a pole. Anyone who was bitten had only to look at the snake statue and was healed. While talking with Nicodemus, Jesus mentioned the bronze snake as a symbol for His upcoming death.
