Caleb

One of the twelve men sent by Moses to spy out the land of Canaan. When the people of Israel rebelled against God and refused to enter Canaan, the Lord grew angry and said that none of the adults except Caleb and Joshua would ever enter Canaan. All would die in the wilderness. Forty years later, Caleb and Joshua were the only men of the original group still alive. Caleb asked to settle near Hebron where the “giants” who frightened the other spies lived! Even though Caleb was old, he directed the battle against these people and drove them out.
