Church

All Christians throughout time. The church also is called the body of Christ, and Jesus Christ is called the Head. The church grew rapidly soon after the resurrection of Christ and the Holy Spirit’s arrival. New Jewish believers in Jerusalem gathered to pray, sing, and encourage each other. Later, in other cities, many Gentiles became Christians and met together to form fellowships or churches, usually meeting in homes. The word church also means the believers in a certain city or area. Every local church is part of the body of Christ.
