Ebenezer

A word that means “stone of help.” The Israelites camped at this location during a battle with the Philistines. After a later battle that Israel won against the Philistines, the prophet-judge Samuel took a stone and named it Ebenezer. This stone was a memorial stone to show that God helped them win the battle.
