Evil

Anything that is against the will of God. These include bad thoughts, hatred, fighting, loving something excluding people from our groups, and many other actions. Evil hurts our relationships with other people and with God. Evil damages everything God created.

Evil began in the world when Adam and Eve disobeyed God. God later sent a flood, because most of the actions of the people were evil. Satan and demons are described as evil. Sometimes in the Bible, evil is called “the works of the flesh.” God did not create evil, but He allows it to exist. He created people with the ability to choose for themselves whether to do evil or good. One day God will create a new heaven and a new earth, and evil will not exist.
