Flood, the

When God allowed water to destroy much of the earth’s population. God saw how evil people had become and was sorry He had made them. Only Noah and his family and the animals with them on the ark were saved from the flood. God sent rain that lasted forty days and nights. This may have been the first time rain ever fell on earth. Water also rushed up from springs below ground. Soon everything was under water and remained that way for more than a year.
