Friendship

Many people in the Bible were friends. David and Jonathan were best friends. The book of Ruth tells of the beautiful friendship between Ruth and her mother-in-law, Naomi. Jesus had many friends, including Mary, Martha, and Lazarus. God called Abraham His friend. Jesus offers His friendship to those who trust Him as Savior. We prove that we’re His friends if we obey His commands. The book of Proverbs has good advice about friendship: how to be a friend and how to recognize a good friend.
