Gentiles

All people who are not Jewish by nationality or religion. In Bible times, Jews and Gentiles did not have much to do with each other. Gentiles often persecuted the Jews for their religion, and the Jews hated the Gentiles and looked down on them. Jesus rarely taught Gentiles, but He healed them when they came to Him. He healed the servant of a Gentile soldier. After Jesus’s death and resurrection, the church began to include both Jews and Gentiles who believed in Christ. The apostle Paul was sent by the risen Jesus to preach the gospel message to Gentiles.
