Hannah

A godly woman who dedicated her firstborn son, Samuel, to serve God. When Hannah had no children, she prayed for a long time that she would have a child. One feast day in the tabernacle she promised God that if He gave her a son she would bring him to serve in God’s house. Later, when Hannah and her husband, Elkanah, had a baby boy, Hannah dedicated him to God’s service. She was so happy she sang a beautiful song of praise. After Samuel moved into the tabernacle to serve the priest Eli there, God gave Hannah three more sons and two daughters.
