Hazael

King of Aram (the city-state of Damascus). He first served as an official of Ben-Hadad, the Syrian king. God told the prophet Elijah that Hazael would be king and would be part of His plan of judgment on the nation of Israel. Hazael murdered Ben-Hadad and became king, then went to war against Israel.
