Horses

Horses have been tamed for thousands of years. In Bible times, horses were used mostly for war. They pulled chariots and were sometimes ridden by kings and important people. In the story of Esther, Mordecai was honored by being allowed to ride the king’s horse around the capital city. In the time of Moses, the Israelites were told not to collect a large number of horses. However, Solomon had about twelve thousand horses.
