Hosea
An Old Testament prophet who called his people back to God. God told Hosea to use marriage as a picture of God’s relationship to His people Israel. God was the bridegroom; Israel was the bride. God told Hosea to marry a woman who would be unfaithful to him. Her name was Gomer. They had three children. But Gomer fell in love with other men and left Hosea, just as Israel found other gods to worship. But Hosea, like God, brought Gomer back to his house and loved her even after what she had done.
