Jairus

The ruler of a synagogue whose twelve-year-old daughter was raised from death by Jesus. Jairus went to Jesus, seeking help for her. But before Jesus arrived at Jairus’s home, messengers told him his daughter had died. Jesus insisted on going anyway, and when He arrived, the people were weeping and mourning. Jesus sent everyone out of the house except Jairus and his wife and Peter, James, and John. Jesus took the girl’s hand and commanded her to rise.
