Jason

A Christian at Thessalonica who invited Paul and Silas to stay at his house while they were preaching. Some of the Jews who were jealous of Paul’s success in winning converts gathered a crowd and attacked Jason’s house. Paul and Silas were not there at the time, so the mob took Jason and some of his friends to the city judge and accused him of protecting criminals. This made it sound as though Paul and Silas were trying to overthrow the government. The judge made Jason promise that Paul and Silas would leave the city and not come back again.
