Job

A wise, rich, and good man who suffered terrible losses. No one knows when Job’s story took place. We know that his ten children died on the same day. He lost all his wealth and became ill with a painful skin disease. Three friends who visited tried to explain why these dreadful things had happened. Job became very discouraged and angry with God for letting such bad things happen, but he still believed in God and trusted Him. Job realized that his trust in God did not depend on the things that happened to him. Later, God restored Job’s health, made him twice as rich as he had been before, and gave him ten more children.
