Lebanon

A mountain range in the southern part of the country also called Lebanon. Lebanon means “the white” and probably refers to the snow that covers the tops of the mountains most of the year. The high, rugged peaks are famous for their beauty. Tall trees from these mountains, called the cedars of Lebanon, were used to build the temple of Solomon.
