Mizpah

A name that means “watchtower.” The Bible mentions two places known as Mizpah: the hometown of Jephthah, a judge of Israel, and a town in the territory allotted to Benjamin. The prophet Samuel gathered the people at Mizpah for a special meeting—to get them to give up their idols. But their enemies, the Philistines, decided to attack them. God rescued His people.
