Moabites

The nation in the family line of Lot’s grandson Moab. They lived east of the southern part of the Dead Sea and were enemies of the Israelites. When the Israelites left Egypt for Canaan, the Moabites refused to let them pass through their land. Almost a hundred years later, the Moabites joined the Ammonites and the Amalekites and ruled over Israel for eighteen years. Finally Ehud, a man from the tribe of Benjamin, killed the Moabite king.
