Mount Moriah

The place where God told Abraham to offer Isaac as a sacrifice. Isaac was spared, however, when God provided an animal for the sacrifice. The exact location is not known, but many people believe this is the same Mount Moriah on which Solomon built his temple—a rocklike hill in the center of Jerusalem today.
