Naaman

A commander of Syria’s army. Naaman had a huge problem: leprosy. At least his form of leprosy was not contagious. His wife’s young Israelite slave told him that a prophet in Israel could cure him. Instead of meeting Naaman, Elisha sent instructions: dip seven times in the muddy Jordan River to be healed. How could a muddy river make a person clean? It couldn’t, but God could. When proud Naaman finally obeyed, he was healed of leprosy.
