Naboth

An Israelite who had a good vineyard next to King Ahab’s palace in Jezreel. When King Ahab wanted to buy Naboth’s vineyard, Naboth refused. He wanted the land to stay in his family so others could inherit it. Ahab’s wife, Jezebel, had Naboth stoned to death. God sent the prophet Elijah to tell Ahab that God would judge him and his wife for the death of Naboth.
