Olive

Olives were eaten for food, and olive oil was used in cooking, lamps, medicines, and ointments. Olive wood was used in carpentry. Olive trees grow well in the rocky soil, require very little water, and produce fruit for hundreds of years. When Noah sent a dove to find dry land, the dove brought back a branch from an olive tree.
