Oxen

Oxen are bulls with their sex glands removed. Because they were strong, they were usually used to pull wagons, plows, and other farm implements. Almost every Israelite farmer had an ox. Oxen were also frequently used as offerings to God. Job had thousands of oxen. When the ark of the covenant was returned to Israel, it was placed on a cart pulled by oxen. Elisha sacrificed a pair of oxen when he followed Elijah.
