Parable

A story that teaches a lesson. Each parable in the Bible usually points out one spiritual truth and teaches a lesson by comparing one situation with another. Jesus often taught with parables. Usually Jesus’s parables were easily understood by His listeners, but sometimes He had to explain what they meant. Some of Jesus’s parables include the Good Samaritan, the lost son, the lost coin, and the sower.
