Potiphar and His Wife

Potiphar was a captain of the pharaoh’s guard. Potiphar bought Joseph as a slave. Potiphar soon recognized Joseph’s keen mind and organizing ability and placed him in charge of running his household. Potiphar’s wife liked Joseph, but Joseph rejected her when she flirted with him. When Potiphar’s wife made a false accusation against Joseph, Potiphar had Joseph imprisoned.
